Fluidity—Fitness Evolved®. Revolutionizing Fitness and Harmonizing the Human Form

Long. Lean. Fluid. A dancer's body is a body in motion. It's equal parts beauty and function…a balance of strength from head to toe that empowers it to move with equal parts athleticism and grace.

Dancers don't dance their way to a beautiful body. They develop whole-body strength, proportion and flexibility using a wall-mounted bar and their own body weight. Fluidity, created by fitness expert Michelle Austin, is a whole-body workout that uses the resistance of the Fluidity Bar® and your own body weight to develop the whole-body strength, flexibility and proportion that symbolize a dancer's long, lean body.

The Fluidity Bar reinvents the classic wall-mounted ballet bar and brings this studio-quality workout to the gym and the home. It is the world's first height-adjustable ballet bar to provide the strength and rigidity of a wall-mounted bar in a completely portable, freestanding unit. Its patented design allows you to work against the resistance of your own body weight and the bar in all directions - the key to a dancer's fitness training.

The Fluidity Bar is custom designed to meet the needs of two primary markets: 1) for the health club and spa market, the dual-user Fluidity Bar commercial unit maximizes floor space and rolls easily into the center of a group exercise classroom; and 2) for the home market, the single-user Fluidity Bar home unit provides the same strength and rigidity of the commercial unit, but folds down to just 4" high for easy storage.

THE FINER POINTS ON FLUIDITY. Unlike traditional weight training that often isolates one muscle at a time and creates disproportion, Fluidity's integrated movements develop strength proportionately from head to toe. It's this whole-body proportion that symbolizes beauty and optimizes movement in every body. Simply put, when you develop muscle balance in your body, your muscles look longer and leaner, and your body moves with greater fluidity.

The Fluidity workout also differs from traditional Pilates mat exercises that often isolate specific muscles in the lower body. When you lie down in Pilates, you are no longer in a whole-body, weight-bearing exercise; therefore you can't work the body in unison. As a result, you isolate - rather than integrate - muscles, developing muscle imbalance and making it impossible to develop the proportionate legs and seat of a dancer's body. Unlike traditional Pilates mat workouts, Fluidity works the body the way nature intended - when you stand up, you work your body in unison, with all of the muscles in your upper body, core and lower body working together. It's this integrated, weight-bearing movement that is the most effective and efficient way to develop proportionately. By integrating - rather than isolating - muscles, Fluidity maximizes results and minimizes workout time.

Embraced by an intensely-loyal following of gym goers, Fluidity is the hottest trend at several of New York City's elite gyms. At the Printing House, New York Health & Racquet Club, and the JCC, Michelle Austin and her team of Fluidity-certified instructors teach the invigorating, 60-minute workout to women and men of all ages and varying fitness levels. And the rest of the fitness world is taking notice. Although the Fluidity Bar commercial unit won't become available nationally until 2007, Fluidity Fitness has already received pre-orders from the Mandarin Oriental Hotels & Spas and the Sea Island Resort Spa among other leading health club and spa facilities.

Following in the success of the Fluidity Bar gym unit, the company's Fluidity Bar home unit is rolling out nationally to rave reviews. The Fluidity Bar home unit and workout DVDs are now available via the company's direct-response infomercial and at www.fluidity.com.
